Abstract
The techniques for clean robots have been studied during the development of a rectangular clean robot for use in a computer disk assembly line. The techniques and the resulting robot are described. It was found that the generation of dust is largely prevented by the grease and the selection of the right materials especially when the speed of the robot is relatively slow, without the use of vacuum suction. Thus these techniques are effective when vacuum suction can not be used
