Abstract
This work provides a basic scheme for current amplifications. Different operation modes of nonlinear devices are used in a particular way for an efficient current amplification. Based on this scheme, three current amplifiers, of which one has its gain adapting to the input signal are designed. Each of the circuits consists of only a few transistors, and a very weak input current can be made capable of controlling a strong output current. The proposed scheme can be effectively used in the design of current-mode circuits for sensor applications.
