Abstract
This paper considers the problem of channel shortening in OFDM systems. More specifically, we propose non-blind shortening techniques with controlled target impulse response (TIR) quality. Compared to other existing channel shortening methods, the proposed solutions are computationally cheaper and lead to better BER performance. Simulation results are provided to illustrate this claim and to assess the performance of the proposed method.
