Abstract :
This work is based on an outsourcing project of cancer chemotherapy from hospital to home care services (HCS). We aim to propose a decision support tool for a structure of home care services, facilitating organizational design of chemotherapy at home implementation. We use discrete-event simulation to build a decision support tool according to a real-world case study. The proposed tool permits us to evaluate different resource configurations taking into consideration both, variation in demand and care actors´ availability. It enables thus finally to select the most robust and efficient configuration.
