Abstract
An evaluation index system of land suitability for Weishan county was built according to the basic principles of land suitability evaluation. Three main factors were included, such as nature, ecology and society. The weight of each factor was determined by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Moreover, the land suitability of Weishan county was assessed under the support of Geographic Information System (GIS). Based on above work, the industrial planning scheme of spatial distribution was proposed. Weishan county can be divided into four industrial regions with the purpose of optimizing the distribution of land resources. These area are green agricultural base, northern economic zone, southern economic zone and western economic zone. This study can also be referenced in other counties for their industrial spatial arrangement planning.
