Abstract :
Paraunitary matrices are important in the characterization of digital filterbanks. Factorization of a multivariate polynomial paraunitary matrix has been of interest. Here the investigation of properties of paraunitary and their variants is continued. A contribution to the problem of completion of a multivariate polynomial rectangular matrix into a square matrix with the paraunitary property invariant is made. This provides insights into the solution of the more general paraunitary completion problem for multivariate rectangular matrices of arbitrary size.
