Abstract
Web services have already become one of the most important computing resources and software assets in the Internet. With the large growth in number of Web services and the demand for registries, how to find the required services efficiently or how to gain the best service from the vast service sets become important. By introducing the concept of ontology, a Web service discovery algorithm (WSDA) is proposed. In order to calculate and compare the similar degree conveniently, this algorithm uses OWLS language to describe Web servers, adopts improved semantic matching algorithm based on geometric distance and map relation diagram to database. Finally, the experimental results demonstrate that proposed algorithm can achieve better Web service discovery effectiveness and availability, and increase accuracy degree in comparison with traditional algorithms.
