Abstract
Land reclamation begins later in China and reconstruction soil is not enough studied which leads to the lower productivity of reclamation land and bad soil conditions. So systematically studying the change rule of the soil characteristic in reclamation area has an important role for land reclamation. The fractal method is used in this paper to study the distribution of reconstruction soil attribute in reclamation land, in order to provide a base for soil improvement. The research result shows that the fractal dimension value in surface layer is apparently different in different direction and different attribute has different distribution rule. The fractal dimension value in bottom layer has a certain rule and the spatial distribution is simple compared with surface layer. The research demonstrates that fractal theory is a good tool for describing the complexity of reconstruction soil in reclamation area and the result can provide a base for soil improvement.
