Abstract
Whether maximum benefits in applying distributed generations (DGs) is obtained often depends on the optimal selection of multiple types of DGs. In this paper, we first build the models of DGs including wind power, solar power, and microturbine. And then we build the optimization planning model of distributed generation system. In this model, the minimization of the total net present cost is chosen as the optimization goal. Sensitivity analysis of wind speed, natural gas price and emission punishment to optimization results are also presented. Homer, a powerful simulation software, is used to simulate a real power system containing multiple types of DGs. The work of this paper could do help in the planning of large scale urban distribution generation projects and in the decision of the combination selection of DGs for individual DG installations.
