Abstract
The multi-look signal processing is a powerful technique for improving quality of SAR images. Recent advances in the development and implementation of such technique are reviewed. The usage of the multi-look processing for the correction of geometric and radiometric image distortions that arise under unstable flight conditions is described. The proposed solutions are illustrated by data obtained with an X-band airborne SAR recently developed and tested at the Institute of Radio Astronomy.
