Abstract
The paper shows that new program architectures can be devised, allowing the hardware capabilities of modern vector processors to be effectively exploited in microwave circuit design. Some basic ideas are discussed in detail and the theoretical conclusions are substantiated by application to a practical design example. The new approach opens the way to a systematic implementation of nonlinear CAD techniques and to a general improvement of the cost-effectiveness of present designs.
