  • Abstract
    To overcome shortages of available general signal generators, which can not output various physiological signals, and of multi-function physiological ones, which can not output not common signals, a novel opening multi-function signal generator is put forward in this paper. This signal generator is mainly composed of microcomputer STM32F103RD and waveform generator, MAX038, a high-frequency, precision function generator, which can produce accurate, high-frequency triangle, sawtooth, sine, square, and pulse waveforms with minimum of external components. As a result, this instrument may output not only common signal, such as sine, square, triangle and sawtooth signal, but also many kinds of physiological signals such as electrocardiosignal, pulse wave signal. At the same time, the frequency, amplitude and type of signal are displayed by LCD,and the type of physiological signals can be modified by USB connection with well open property. Especially, an output interface, which may be connected to earphone directly, is provided. Therefore, it is convenient to hear sound of different frequency of various signals, and to study on frequency characteristic of human ear and impedance one of human body. In addition, each kind of physiological signal with several various frequencies is availed and may be observed with a normal oscilloscope. Thus it has many merits, such as the small volume, stable property, simple operation, visual display and so on. Consequently, it can be widely used in researching, teaching, debugging and maintaining.
