Abstract :
Matching technique is a key to geospatial data integration and fusion. In this paper, spatial directional relationship was described through direction relational matrix, and calculating methods of the spatial directional similarity were discussed. Combining with the matching algorithms of vector area data, some tactics were introduced, which contribute to the accomplishing of many-to-one, many-to-many matching. Matching process based on spatial directional similarity and matching tactics were described. Then a test was taken, using area data of building property and town planning at scale 1: 500. In the test, the spatial directional relation matrix algorithm was taken, and two-steps matching tactics was recommended. Based on the test, a conclusion can be drawn: matching efficiency depends on not only algorithms, but also tactics. Proper tactics can help to accomplish more complex task.
