Abstract :
A method for defining generic analytical expression of phase distribution applied for sector beam formation in phased arrays is presented. Only the beam extension ratio is taken for phase distribution calculation in the formula. The formula definition algorithm is simple and practically feasible. The method can be applied in phased arrays with linear and planar apertures.
