Abstract :
The Police Communications Research Center has been studied the improvement of obscure VCR images taken by security video camera systems. We also handle clarifying of video images in actual criminal investigations. Based on its research result to date, we have developed an image enhancement system able to effectively clarify unclear images. The article describes how the Police Communications Research Center in Japan processes indistinct video images and outlines a newly developed image enhancement system
