Abstract :
Integrated and flexible guided acoustic wave transducers have been made using line shape mechanical gratings together with sol-gel fabricated integrated ultrasonic transducers at the opposite side. They can be used to generate and receive guided surface and plate acoustic waves and to operate up to 150°C. Preliminary results show the potentials of them for nondestructive evaluation and structural health monitoring applications.
