Abstract :
Computational techniques for the evaluation of the electromagnetic fields within biological bodies irradiated at microwave frequencies are reviewed. Heat transfer inside thermoregulated tissues is considered. Emission from layered models of biological structures is reviewed and a survey of methods for temperature retrieval from microwave passive multispectral measurements is presented.
