Design of emergency map symbol

According to the three phrases of outburst accidents, this paper classes the emergency map as follows. They are forecast map, instant emergency map and recovery map. In broad sense, emergency map includes all above. But in narrow sense, it is referred to instant emergency map. This paper mainly discusses this kind of map. Then, the problems of emergency map are analyzed and concluded. There are three main problems: ignoring the characters of emergency environment, appearances of symbols are single and the deficiency of innovation on symbol design. What is more, the characters of emergency are analyzed. Based on this, principles of emergency map symbols are talked. At last, design methods of emergency mobile map and emergency great screen map are studied.
