  • Abstract
    The communication network is a main component of digital substation, its performance has a great influence on the security and reliability of power system. Considering IEC61850, by real time digital simulator (RTDS), the merging units and intelligent switches in the digital substation communication network simulation platform are established. Meanwhile, according to the main wire in 220kV substation, the simulation platform composed by simulated intelligent primary equipments, protection equipments and switches is designed, the concrete method of network performance test is proposed. The result of experiment shows that the simulated intelligent primary equipments can promptly send electromagnetic transient real-time data and correctly receive secondary equipments actual data, which provides the theoretical support for the selection of real communication network.
