  • Abstract
This paper introduces the current status of semantic Web services and third-party logistic service briefly, and then according to the current defect of third-party logistic service, it presents a new semantic Web services and RFID middleware based logistic service mode with a aim to provide better service by employing semantic Web services technology to implement the semantic registration, semantic matching of services and the service automated composition; and use RFID middleware to track the service so that the service process is visible to users. In addition, the paper also introduces the overall design ideas of this service mode by combining the construction and operation process of the semantic web services, the current status and features of logistics services, the application of RFID technology and the functions of RFID middleware, and explains the work process of the logistics service mode through an example of service requests.
