Abstract :
Two different high-power multiplexer module designs and prototypes suitable for 17-GHz direct-broadcast satellite earth stations are presented and compared. One of the units uses circular TE011 cavity mode filters and the other uses circular TE114 dual-mode filters. The results of high-power tests performed on both units are given, together with the performance of a triplexer constructed from TE011 mode cavity filters.
