Abstract :
Presents AIDI-Heart, a computer-based decision support tool for the automated interpretation of diagnostic heart images, which has been made available via the World Wide Web (WWW). The tool is based on image processing techniques, artificial neural networks and large and well-validated medical databases. The performance of the tool has been evaluated, and the results show the high potential for the tool as a clinical decision support system. The tool has now been integrated into a WWW environment for easy access and operation using any Web browser. This first version of AIDI-Heart is being evaluated by three hospitals, two in Denmark and one in Sweden
