Abstract :
Embedded multimedia systems represent an important segment of today´s electronic industry. While there has been a notable growth in the use of such systems, their design process has become remarkably difficult due to the increasing design complexity and shortened time-to-market. Further, mixed hardware/software solutions are increasingly becoming common in multimedia systems, as a result of which the separation hardware design and software development is slowly disappearing.
