Abstract :
The report describes multi-channel microwave devices for dividing and combining of high power, constructed by way of directional couplers series connection. The device analytical model is presented based on scattering matrix equipment, effects of amplitude and phase errors are described with regard to the device operation in power combining mode. Two variants of the device construction are proposed: waveguide and symmetric stripline. Means of the applied directional couplers matching are suggested. Due to application of coupled lines with lateral link in stripline variant it became possible to arrange accessible schedule of directional couplers tuning using dielectric spikes, resulting in high flatness of channels division (0.2 dB in 20% pass band). There was performed comparative analysis of experimental findings with electro-dynamic modeling data.
