Abstract :
An accurate full-wave hybrid-mode analysis of the transmission property of micros trip line lying on lossy ferrite material magnetised perpendicularly to the ground plane is provided in terms of the spectral domain technique. This approach means a more realistic insight into behaviour of reciprocal and nonreciprocal integrated micros trip ferrite devices since for the first time it rigorously takes into account the dynamic effects of dispersion together with the magnetic and dielectric loss of the substrate as well as the attenuation due to the imperfect ground plane conductivity. The results of this study are believed to be useful in proper prediction of the behaviour and in design of various microstrip structures employing magnetic substrates. In order to demonstrate possibilities of developed analytical formulation the transmission characteristics of two first modes of the ferrite-filled microstrip line are shown and concluded.
