Abstract
The paper describes a new type of microstrip circulator which is constructed on a metal plate-backed Teflon laminate. A theoretical investigation of the split-resonance bandwidth for different microstrip circulator types is carried out using a mode matching technique. The theoretically scattering parameters of the ferrite junction are compared to practical measurements. Results obtained from a three-port circulator operating in the 4-GHz range will be supplied.
