Abstract :
TCP New Vegas is an implementation of TCP Vegas with three sender-side modifications that increase the protocol´s performance, especially when used over long delay networks. Whilst these modifications have been shown to provide significant performance gains, a number of unresolved problems continue to impact performance. This paper details research undertaken to address these issues and proposes two new modifications along with an alternate version of the rapid window convergence algorithm.
