Abstract :
This paper is proposing a multipath routing algorithm SeReQoM for a multicast group with a single source and multiple destinations. SeReQoM provides an environment that tackles the triple issues of security, reliability and quality of service. In SeReQoM the message is divided into k packets. A simple error correcting coding scheme is used to convert the k packets into n packets (n > k) and the n packets are transmitted through ´n´ node disjoint paths. The reception of k packets out of n packets enables the destination user to recover the original message. Failure of (n-k) paths does not affect the regular communication. Any unauthorized agent listening to one single path is not able to retrieve the message. Thus SeReQoM incorporates both security and reliability. In this scheme, routes are reserved before the communication starts. The reserved resources are made inaccessible to other applications thus guarantees quality of service. The nodes are simulated using VHDL and the performance metrics of the proposed SeReQoM scheme is analyzed.
