Abstract
The paper deals with the problem of the conditions for an optimal accuracy at the application of parameter estimation methods on induction motors at standstill. A discrete-time model of the machine and excitations with voltage steps and pseudo-random-binary signals (PRES) are used. The high influence of the input signal concerning the analysis time, the voltage level and the frequency spectrum to the standard deviation and the nonlinearities of the estimated parameters requires a careful choice of the test conditions. Simulation results are verified by practical tests and comparisons with other machine tests are presented
