Abstract
Based on the fault characteristics, where the exciting current increases and the output reactive power reduces, when an inter turn short-circuit occurs in rotor windings, and considering the saturated situation of generator, a fault characteristic mathematical model of inter turn short-circuits on generator rotor windings is founded. The method is verified by using the practical data
