Abstract :
The basic principles of harmonic balance methods for the periodic steady-state analysis of non-linear circuits are described. The problem of choosing suitable algorithms for the numerical solution is also discussed. The analysis of a class-C amplifier is given as an example of practical application. The advantages and limitations of harmonic balance techniques are considered.
