In recent years, with the rapid harmonious development of society and economy in China, the progress of urbanization is also speeding up. More and more migrant workers come to cities. It has become an important task to guide the new generation migrant workers to merge into cities. To enhance research on citizenization of new generation migrant workers helps to eliminate the barriers for citizenization of new generation migrant workers and has significant practical meaning for realizing citizenization of the migrant workers and spur the progress of urbanization. The article elaborates on the necessity of citizenization of new generation migrant workers, analyzes the major factors restricting citizenization of new generation migrant workers and proposes strategies to facilitate citizenization of the new generation migrant workers.
