Abstract
Cloud computing is an emerging technology that uses the concepts of virtualization, connectivity, processing power and storage for storing and sharing data via a network. This newfound technology has a rapid growth in IT industry and also other industries all over the world. According to this rapid growth, this paper tries to investigate the effectiveness and influence rate of cloud-based services such as cloud storages and cloud-based applications at Malaysia as the 58th ICT development country in the world. In this survey, the investigation was done due to the three main parts: familiarity with cloud computing concepts and the rate of usage, cloud computing issues and concerns, and the future of cloud computing at Malaysia. In the first part, the rate of influence in various industries, several types of users, and different areas at Malaysia was considered. Furthermore, in the second part security and privacy concerns in cloud computing environments was identified and the third part contains the future of this technology at Malaysia and scientific and practical solutions for increasing the influence and effectiveness rate of cloud computing environments and services at Malaysia.
