Abstract
This paper presents a new technique for linearization of power amplifiers based on the developed iteration algorithm for predistortion of I and Q signals. Mathematical analysis shows that such an approach allows us to obtain near perfect linear outputs of amplifiers in saturation. A polynomial behavioral model of a power amplifier is considered. The paper presents a mathematical series, which describes the components of this model. This model has been used in simulations to replace the real device. Simulation results show an improvement of 35 dB for QPSK spectrum regrowth, which is 15 dB better than the case of conventional predistortion. The accuracy of the proposed model is verified by experiment.
