Abstract :
The paper discussed the advanced low-cost power flow control system based on large mount of distributed static series compensators. Based on the loss analysis and compensation capability characteristics of the distributed static series compensator unit, the efficiency of the D-FACTS is defined. The cluster control strategy of D-FACTS is discussed; a novel cluster control strategy is proposed to guarantee almost 100% efficiency of D-FACTS within all operation range.
