Abstract :
In this work, we present a spectral domain formulation to calculate the propagation characteristics of generalised transmission planar structures for MIC and millimeter-wave applications. This formulation takes into account the presence of an arbitrary number of dielectric layers, involving biaxial anisotropic materials. Each layer is characterised by a "spectral matrix", from which the complete spectral dyadic Green\´s function is derived in a simple way. This one is used in conjunction with the conventional Ritz-Galerkin procedure to derive the dispersion equation of the structure.
