Abstract
The tuning of the voltage regulation controller of the synchronous co-ordinate based Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) phase voltage control for the single-phase customer-end converter in low-voltage direct current (LVDC) distribution network is carried out using internal model control (IMC) approach. The principle of the regulation controller can be categorized as the gain scheduling controller that is based on the load current measurement. The tuning method provides controller parameters for the proportional integrator (PI) type of controller and therefore the typical integrator controller is substituted with the PI controller. It is shown that the typical LQG scheme´s performance can be improved using the proposed method. Furthermore, the performance of the control is evaluated using different number of measurements.
