Abstract :
Soil erosion is one of the major serious geo-environmental issues causing land degradation in China. Developing new remote sensing techniques to analyze the change of soil erosion will assist in the comprehensive treatment of environment and the sustainable management of soil resources. In this study we derived land cover and NDVI from TM 5 images, to assess the soil erosion with DEM. These techniques will assist in the sustainable development of Guanting reservoir.
