Abstract
This paper presents the dynamic stability of a superconducting generator of 200 MW class connected to an infinite busbar through a power transmission line. Details regarding damping ratio, nondamped natural frequency and output power limit of the machine have been investigated. Furthermore, a superconducting generator system with series-connected capacitor in the power transmission-fine has been studied from the viewpoint of stability improvement. This paper also examines dynamic performances dependence upon control systems such as AVR and GOV (Governor)
