Study on comprehensive evaluation of the quality of human settlements in korla city — A case study of the korla, Xinjiang, China

Urbanization promotes the development of industrialization and information, and develops the economy rapidly. In recent years, China´s urbanization accelerates. But, at the meantime the human settlement of urban residents has been seriously broken. At present, it is very important to coordinate the urbanization with human settlement development, and promote the urban human settlement sustainable development. This article is a preliminary study about urban living environment in Korla city. This paper respectively established an index system of urbanization and human settlement based on the empirical data about the oasis town´s human settlement in Korla city, and obtained the human Settlements Index of Korla city. This paper explored the interaction mechanism from the aspects of human settlements and urbanization, based on the theory of human settlements science.
