Abstract
Landslides Remote Monitoring System (LRMS) is a new approach for slope stability remote intelligent monitoring and early warning, its basic research idea is "sliding force exceeds shearing force is the necessary and sufficient condition for landslide occurrence ". Based on the working principle and basic structure of the system, combined with the early days application feedback, the existing shortages were put forward, which were mainly concentrated on three aspects, such as, communication technology, data collection and transmission technology, forecast method and early warning modes of landslide disaster. Through substituting Beidou satellite communication system for the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) network communication system, using ZigBee communication mode and wireless sensor network technology to develop and apply planar data collection and transmission technology, establishing standard forecast method and early warning mode of landslide disaster, a set of scientific and reasonable improvement techniques and measures of the system was established.
