Abstract :
Low carbon building materials is an important direction of low carbon building. In this paper solid wastes were used to launch the experimental work on low carbon building materials. The orthogonal test and single factor test were used to conduct the experiment.This experiment researched the impact of solid wastes on the mechanical properties of the new low carbon building brick. There were four kinds of solid wastes : dredged mud ,fly ash ,steel slag,calcium carbide sludge.To expose the impact of solid waste components on the strength of the product and acquire the appropriate ratio of raw material. This experiment formed the experimental foundation for making low carbon material from solid wastes.
