Abstract
This paper discusses the flexible AC transmission system device; the Interline Power Flow Controller is a voltage source converter based Flexible AC Transmission System controller for series compensation. This has unique capability of power flow management among the transmission systems, because other controllers can connect with only one transmission line but Interline Power Flow Controller can connect in-between two lines for power flow control. The Interline Power Flow Controller is a new concept for load compensation and effective power flow management of multiline transmission systems. A PI controller is implemented. This control method enables the power flow control in multiple lines. This has been done by using MATLAB Simulink.
