Abstract :
Land use is the mirror of the society, there is corresponding relation between land use structure and social-economic structure in the certain period. The paper applied principal component analysis (PCA) and technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method to evaluate the coordination between land use and regional development. Firstly, the index system of coordination evaluation between land use and regional development was setup based on the concept of land comprehensive carrying capacity. Secondly, the ideas and research methods of PCA_TOPSIS method was described. Finally, the combinatorial method was put forward to evaluate the coordination between land use and regional development in Longmen County as an example. The results indicate the coordination had maintained a good momentum of development from 1996 to 2006, and the economic carrying capacity is the primary factor affecting the coordination.
