Abstract
The time varying characteristic of pressure fluctuation was analyzed with the physical model test of a new pumping station in South-to-North water diversion. In order to study the non-stationary property of pressure fluctuation signal, the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method was used to perform time and frequency analysis. And the correlation Coefficients of intrinsic mode function were calculated to identify the frequency components and their time variation with the operation conditions. The analysis results showed that EMD method can improve the resolution of time frequency analysis and extract main vibration components from vibration signal more clearly.
