Abstract :
An image calibration method, based on ¿pulse inversion ratio¿ (PIR) was tested using a flow phantom consisting of a dialysis cartridge to simulate tissue perfusion. By comparing PIR to B-mode and PI output, it was seen that PIR is sensitive to the flow of contrast agents, and is capable of suppressing shadowing artifacts.
