Abstract
A systematic pot test was performed both in summer and autumn, which the purification efficiency to the polluted urban storm runoff was studied. The orthogonal method was applied to design the experiment. 24 plastic pots were divided into eight groups, and each group included a blank sample and two parallel samples for comparison. The results showed that: (1) the removal rate of CODCr was almost higher than 90%, which was mainly dependent on the absorption of substrate. And the positive correlation between removal rate and pollutant concentration was existed; (2) the removal rate of TN in plant pots was obviously better than that of no plant; (3) the removal rate of TP was assured by the absorption and complexation of substrate, which was higher than 90%; (4) the experiment was performed on the condition of intermittent inflow and the higher removal rate was reached, which indicated that the purification function of urban riverbank could recover in the period without storm.
