Abstract
Measurement of electromagnetic fields (EMF) nearby radiation sources even in free space are realized with relatively low accuracy. The considerable decrease of measuring accuracy is caused by interconnection of the field source and the measuring antenna, and the results of measurements are also influenced by different objects which are near the measuring place, including people. In this connection, EMF measurements near-by radiation sources, i. e. in the near zone, have specific character. The noted features are the sources of numerous measurement errors both when calibrating antennas in standards and during conducting practical measurements in real conditions.
