Abstract
With the progress of the data collection technology, available multi source spatial data is growing rapidly. The common manners to access these data are limited by the complexity and the need to collect the data in a center location. Moreover, a variety of softwares adopts their own data formats which may not be understood by other systems, which makes the data sharing difficult. Therefore, an approach to multi source spatial data is needed. This paper presents a multi source spatial data sharing system based on the middleware technology and the OGC specifications. In this system, data applications interact with a middleware component to derive data in the standard formats. The middleware component deal with distributed and heterogeneous data and it can be used by all the applications. The system architecture, working principles, and detailed function of each component are introduced. Based on the research of this paper, an integrated multi source spatial data sharing platform can be developed with the middleware approach to the multi source spatial data.
