Abstract :
This paper summarizes the development in standards for interconnecting distributed power generators with electric power systems. Based on a review of the interconnection standards existing and under-development in Canada and internationally, the major interconnection requirements for distributed power generators are presented in this paper in three categories: general specifications, safety and protection, and power quality.
